The three courses are carefully maintained to ensure they are playable all year round. The North Course (now renamed Campo America) is perhaps more difficult than the shorter South (Campo Asia) but both demand great accuracy from the tee and careful club selection. The La Cañada Golf Course is a fitting tribute to the people of Guadiaro who became golf addicts overnight with the emergence of Sotogrande. In the early days of the golf course, La Cañada just had 9 holes, and some years later it was added a second course designed by David Thomas. The full length Trent Jones course is located in the hills adjacent to Valderrama and is open to some wind.

La Hacienda Alcaidesa Heathland Golf

Alcaidesa's new course, consisting in 18 holes par 72, designed by the renowned former Ryder Cup player and author of numerous internationally renowned tracks, Dave Thomas. This golf course offers a variety of landscapes ranging from the plateau area (holes 1 to 5, 17 and 18) where the golf course is similar to a course type heathland, with wide fairways and outstanding views of the Mediterranean, until the valley area, where the holes meander along and incorporate several water hazards. The total distance is: 6373 m.

The Links Course Opened in 1990 and designed by Peter Ellis and Clive Clark. The topography of the land, made of Alcaidesa gentle slopes that descend to the sea, ending in a beautiful beach, creates a front of nearly 2 km. Most of the holes are close to the beach. It has a 18-hole course that begins and ends at the new clubhouse. The difficulty of the course lies mainly in the condition of the prevailing winds of the place. One of the peculiarities of the field that most impresses the visitors, is its spectacular view over the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and Africa. Total length is 5866 m

La Quinta Golf Course was designed by three time world champion and Ryder Cup winner, Manuel Piñero it is one of the most attractive golf courses in the area, accessible to all levels of play. It satisfies the amateur golfer in the same way as the professional. The speed of its greens is noteworthy, as is the quality of the service offered in the golf club. La Quinta Golf course has 27 holes, split among 3 nine hole golf courses, which are completely integrated into a splendid natural landscape of exceptional beauty, from which one can contemplate the Mediterranean Sea which bathes Marbella and the mountains which surround the Benahavís Golf Valley. The combination of these three golf courses give the golfer a wide choice of possible golf games.The golf course has been remodelled, both in its design and its technical installations, and has become one of the golf courses that hosts a European Tour event, testament to which are the various editions of the Benahavis Senior Masters or the Spanish Ladies Open which have been held at La Quinta Golf Course.

Water hazards are present in several holes and besides the first one they won't never face the golfer.
